NPTA Events

Each NPTA event has its information and its own registration form available in the Events Calendar.

Just open the Event Calendar from the menu bar and click on the event to open it.

Registration does not guarantee you will get in. Our programs have enrollment limitations.

You will be contacted via email to let you know if you have a place and the schedule or instructions on when you will play.

We exist for the community of New Providence, which is why the annual fee of the NPTA is only $35 for New Providence residents, and much higher for non-residents to use our public courts. We are required to have a 60% majority of residents so we will be curbing the memberships of non-residents. However, once you are a member, you can choose from any of the many events that membership has to offer you for free, for the entire year.

Event Calendar

Doubles Leagues - members only

It's recommended you sign up with a partner. The partners are usually accepted before the single entry, especially in mixed doubles league on Thursday nights, where there are many women who register without a partner but few or no men without a partner.

Round Robin Saturdays - members only

Participants vary every week in the Round Robin Mixed Doubles on Saturdays. You can sign up each week to preserve your spot and the coordinators will notify you if you can play

Tournaments with other clubs

-- open to non-members for a fee $20

Members and the guests of our members can play in the tournaments. The guest must be approved, if there is room for them in the tournament, before they will pay the $20 fee to play in the tournament, Of course, all members play for free.

Memorial Day Parade

Anyone can join us in the Memorial Day parade - we invite everyone, family members, friends, pets, strollers, wagons, etc… to join us in our borough’s community parade.

Annual Holiday Members Meeting

All members are invited to our annual holiday members meeting, usually held at Untied, our local brewery, where we have pizza delivered and give our presentation to members, reviewing our year and our goals for next year, as well as voting in the next board of directors.

Join the board to make a difference!

The NPTA is dedicated to serving the New Providence community and our students. We have contributed:

Tennis scholarships each year to two graduating seniors, a girl and a boy, in our town who best demonstrated the spirit of tennis as a lifelong sport.
Funds donated to the New Providence Recreation Dept, for their cooperation and the use of the courts
Purchase items for the courts, such as first aid kits, windscreens, for players to use on the outdoor courts
Sponsorship donations to the local NJ area tennis team competing in the Special Olympics.
